While in Mexico this fall I was fortunate to document the Ironman event on the island of Cozumel. It was a nice break from shooting kiteboarding in the ocean. I can’t believe how hard the Ironman is, props to anyone who finishes these events. More Photos after the jump….

This December Lane Jacobs and I paddled the classic Little White Salmon on an especially cold day. The temperature was about 20 Degrees Fahrenheit which made for crazy Ice formations the whole way down. This is one shot from the day.

Here is one from the vaults. My friend Todd Gillman is taking his last paddle stroke off the second drop of qualicum Falls. This was during some exploration of vancouver Island during the spring of 2006.

Todd Wells is 17 years old and has ran more large waterfalls than any other kid his age. He loves whitewater kayaking and is currently traveling with the world class kayak academy. We took a quick run down the Green Truss section of the White Salmon and used the off camera flash because it was a really overcast day.
My friends Matt and TJ are starting up a kite boarding apparral company called MLKIteboarding, they called me to shoot some images and I was able to get a good session in myself later. the clouds were going off! Share with friends:

Scott is the founder of Athletes for a Cure and took up whitewater kayaking at the tender age of 48. Not many people at that time in their lives can fall in love with a sport with usch serious consequences. He’s definitely a little “different.”

Athletes for a Cure, a program of the Prostate Cancer Foundation, is a fundraising and awareness program to assist individual athletes in their quest to raise money for better treatments and a cure for prostate cancer.
